Four series regulars are leaving Quantico ahead of season 3.
Deadline reports that the shake-up will see British actor Russell Tovey (Harry Doyle), season one veterans Aunjanue Ellis (Miranda Shaw) and Yasmine Al Massri (who played identical twins Neema and Raina), as well as undercover operative Pearl Thusi (Dayana Mampasi) all depart the show before the next season.
However, they may still return to the ABC terrorism drama part-time for guest slots, and we hope so.
Just us, or is Quantico so much better when one of TV’s best ever characters Harry Doyle is in it? Not to mention female boss Miranda Shaw.
It looks like season 3 will return to a smaller ensemble cast, untangling the rather complicated web presented by season 2, where writers tried to integrate both the CIA and FBI into that uber-confusing dedicated task force.
However, Blair Underwood (Owen Hall) – who joined the series as a retired CIA operative in season 2 – will be returning for another run, so maybe the dealings between the FBI and CIA aren’t over quite yet.
Also on board to return for the forthcoming third season are Baywatch star Priyanka Chopra (Alex Parrish), as well as fellow cast members Jake McLaughlin (Ryan Booth) and Johanna Braddy (Shelby Wyatt).
Expect more butt-kicking action and Alex/Ryan relationship drama imminently.
Quantico airs on ABC in the US and Universal in the UK.
