The cast of Scrubs may be getting on the TV show reunion bandwagon and reviving the beloved comedy – at least in some form.
In what could be very, very exciting news for fans, Zach Braff and Sarah Chalke revealed that they are up for doing a movie.
“I don’t think we’d do a traditional TV show thing, but I think we daydream about the idea of doing, like, a TV movie,” Braff told TV Guide at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. “That’s something that feels more realistic.
“Because everyone is so all over the place… I don’t think we’d want to do a revival of the show, but I think what’s more realistic and feasible would be to do sort of a – like Psych did a two-hour movie. I think that would be something we could all do. I mean, I would.”
Chalke was equally as enthusiastic, revealing: “Would I do a Scrubs reunion movie? Hell yes, I would! It was such a great job. We all still hang out and I would love it.”
The show wrapped up eight years ago – more than enough time for a revival, at least for nostalgia value.
There’s the added bonus of the stars still remaining friends, as evidenced by a reunion photo that Braff posted of himself with Chalke and Donald Faison.
Speaking a year ago, the JD actor expressed interest in revisiting the show in the wake of other prominent TV classics relaunching.
“You never know about making more Scrubs episodes. It’s something we all talk about now people are going back and making more versions of their shows,” he explained.
“I’m very jealous of all this Gilmore Girls attention, and Full House, so we talk about it every now and then. So you never know. It could happen. I’d do it.”
