The beloved entertainer, who sadly passed away aged 89 on August 18, hosted the BBC talent show alongside Tess Daly until 2014.
As tributes began to flood in from an array of famous faces and the millions of people who he had entertained over his lengthy career, viewers began to speculate how the iconic entertainer would be remembered when the show returns next month.
“My body and soul is ready for a weekly tribute to Bruce on Strictly #RIPBruce #StrictlyComeDancing,” declared one fan.

While another upset fan called for the whole series to become a tribute to him.
“There’ll never be another Sir Bruce Forsyth. Was already sorely missed on #Strictly. Hope this year’s series is a tribute to him. #RIPBruce,” they wrote.
Others shared their strong opinions about what could happen to Strictly following his death.
“I don’t care who replaces Sir Bruce Forsyth on strictly, he cannot ever be replaced,” came the response from one user of the social networking site.
Another commented: “If strictly come dancing doesn’t do a minute silence or something for Bruce I will 100% complain.”

Refusing to watch the show again following the tragic news, one fan tweeted out: “As if Bruce Forsyth has died, never watching Strictly again :((.”
In the hours that followed the news of his death, Strictly stars shared their condolences on Twitter with presenter Claudia Winkleman, who replaced Bruce on the show when he stepped down, tweeting: “He was the King of TV, the Prince of performers and the most generous of people… all toe-tapping twinkle, all kindness, all love….
“The Bruce you saw really was the man he was. We’ll miss him so much,” she went on to add.
Tess Daly paid tribute to her friend with a heartfelt post that she shared with her fans and followers: “There are no words to describe how heartbroken I am to be told the saddest news that my dear friend Sir Bruce Forsyth has passed away.
“From the moment we met, Bruce and I did nothing but laugh our way through a decade of working together on Strictly Come Dancing and I will never forget his generosity, his brilliant sense of humour and his drive to entertain the audiences he so loved.

“He has been there for me as a co-host, a mentor but most importantly as a friend and I’m extremely fortunate to have worked alongside the man who defined Saturday Night Entertainment for so many decades. He was a gentleman and a true legend. I will miss him deeply. My heart goes out to Winnie his wife and his beautiful family at this sad time.”
