Back in 2008, writer-director Bryan Bertino created a modern horror classic with his film The Strangers, which starred Liv Tyler and Scott Speedman as lovers who endure a very unpleasant night at the hands of three masked maniacs.
A decade on, the franchise returns with The Strangers: Prey at Night. Written by Bertino and Ben Katai, and directed by Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down), the film concerns a family’s road trip which takes a dangerous turn when they arrive at a secluded mobile home park to stay with some relatives and find it mysteriously deserted. Under the cover of darkness, three masked psychopaths pay them a visit to test the family’s every limit as they struggle to survive.
The Strangers: Prey at Night stars Christina Hendricks, Martin Henderson, Bailee Madison, and Lewis Pullman, and opens March 9.
