Strictly Come Dancing: Viewers went wild as they spotted JK Rowling in the audience on Saturday [BBC]
The Harry Potter author was spotted in the audience of the BBC ballroom dancing competition.
This week, Strictly Come Dancing travelled to Blackpool for its annual week in the famous city.
Susan Calman took to the floor to perform a Paso Doble with her partner Kevin Clifton.
But after their performance, Susan revealed her ‘geek gang’ were watching – with the camera panning to JK Rowling clapping for her friend.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer at home posted: “Is that Joanne Rowling?!! Talk about #squadGoals – #strictly”
With another writing: “I too want JK Rowling in my squad #Strictly #scd”
“I want J K Rowling to be my friend, too… #strictly,” added a third.
While a fourth posted: “Wow @jk_rowling is at Blackpool supporting @SusanCalman and @keviclifton #strictly”

Earlier on in the day, Rowling revealed she’d brought her friend a sweet treat to help her in her performance.
As Susan prepared to take to the dance floor on Saturday night, she was gifted with a customised cake from the famous writer who had travelled to the city to see her dance.
Sharing a photograph of a cupcake on Twitter, which was decorated with three 10s in reference to top scores, JK wrote to the comedian: “Brought you a present.”
Replying to the note Susan wrote: “Thanks gorgeous. Hold it up after I dance.”

The post comes after JK hinted to fans she would be in the audience to support her friend when she shared photograph of the Blackpool accompanied with the caption “excited.”
