Thor gets an unwelcome surprise in a new clip from Thor: Ragnarok.
A new TV spot is centred around Thor (Chris Hemsworth) attempting to start a jet with voice recognition, trying everything from his “Prince of Asgard” to “strongest Avenger”, only for every request to be denied.
Thor is then joined by Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) – seemingly shortly after a Hulk transformation, as he’s topless – and tries his name, with the jet coming to life and the computer saying: “Welcome strongest Avenger.”
Hemsworth’s delivery of “errr, what?!” is absolutely priceless, hinting at why Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn proclaimed Thor: Ragnarok as the funniest Marvel movie to date.
Another recent clip released from the upcoming threequel featured at least one sex joke about Thor’s hammer, with Hemsworth also recently admitting that the movie got him excited for Thor again.
“Every day was about exploring the unknown and trying something different. I had got pretty bored of myself as that character and so did [Taika Waititi], maybe a few people out there [too], so we thought, ‘Let’s do something different’,” he explained.
We also now know that Thor: Ragnarok will have the standard two post-credits scenes for a Marvel movie, and we’ve speculated what they could be.
Thor: Ragnarok is released in UK cinemas on October 24 and US cinemas on November 3.
