A The Only Way is Essex fancy dress episode is never taken likely by the cast including Megan McKenna, Chloe Sims and Georgia Kousoulou.
However, for Lauren Pope, the most recent fancy dress request for Halloween has left her with pretty bad side effects.
Going all gothic, the 35 year old – who has been playing with the idea of a Jon Clark romance – wore a tight black dress, a grey wig and a pair of very spooky contact lenses.
But while Lauren certainly looked the part, the contact lenses left their mark on the reality star who has since sent a warning to all her fans on Twitter.

Mario Falcone’s friend tweeted: “Woke up with one seriously swollen eye…stupid f***ing Halloween contact lenses. Feeling like Quasimodo over here.”
And it wasn’t long before her 568,000 followers responded, reiterating her warning over the coloured-contact lenses.
One warned: “You should only wear contact lenses that have supplied and fitted by an optician. The lenses you refer to are very dangerous. Hope all ok.”
Leaving Lauren to say “I wish I knew!”, another told her: “This is why Halloween Contact Lenses make my skin crawl. I know what goes in to them, would never put them near my eyes #ContactLenses.”

So what do the experts think? Refractive surgeon Mr Glenn Carp at Harley Street’s London Vision Clinic has pointed out what you need to be careful of if you’re thinking of wearing coloured lenses or anything for Halloween.
He said: “Coloured contact lenses tend to be worn as a fashion statement or part of fancy dress, this can often mean they are not fitted correctly or at all as they are often bought on-line or over the counter.
“Ordering contact lenses over the internet without having a specialist fit them and without regular contact lens check-ups can increase the risk of problems.”
According to Mr Glenn Carp, coloured lenses “tend to be larger in size and have a much lower oxygen transmission rate” which can lead to Acute Red Eye.

Eye scratches, conjunctivitis and other infections can also happen if the correct precautions have not been taken.
