Once Upon a Time stars discuss Cinderella storyline

Warning: Spoilers for the season seven premiere of Once Upon a Time lie ahead!

The latest season of Once Upon a Time is only just getting started, but now with a new cast, new curse and a new location, there’s a lot to take in.

One storyline we’re already particularly invested in is that of Cinderella and Lady Tremaine, after the tragic circumstances behind their feud were revealed in the premiere.

After discovering that Lady Tremaine blames Cinderella for the death of her daughter Anastasia, actress Dania Ramirez (who plays Cinderella) is hinting that all is not as it seems.

Chatting to Entertainment Weekly, Dania hinted that there may be more to Lady Tremaine and Cinderella’s feud, but in surprisingly villainous form, she’s not going to tell us what just yet.

“I mean, if I told you that then I’d have to kill you,” she joked.

Asked if Lady Tremaine was responsible for Cinders’ father’s death, Dania added: “I think Lady Tremaine is going to end up being responsible for way more than that.

“That’s going to play a big part as to where not only my anger, but [the] revenge aspect of my motivation comes from.”

But it’s not Cinderella who’s got a mysterious darker side – Anastasia’s sister Drizella might be implicated, too.

Hinting that there may be more than “sibling rivalry” between her character and Anastasia, Adelaide Kane said: “I’m really curious to find out if there are like really odd circumstances surrounding that death.”

Somehow we don’t think we’re going to see much of a happy ending here.

Once Upon A Time airs on ABC in the US. Netflix airs the show in the UK.
