The singer, who won the ITV talent show in 2008 and duetted with Beyonce during the star studded final, looks set to show off her dancing skills in order to help her relaunch her TV career.

Following a successful music career, Alexandra moved on and carved a career for herself in the west end when she appeared in a number of musicals.

However, it appears the star is ready to return to the small screen.

“This seems the perfect way for her to do it,” a source told The Sun.

“She has heard a lot about how great the experience is and can’t wait to get started. She is already working hard on her fitness.”

While Alexandra’s spokesperson didn’t confirm her link to the show, they explained that the idea was “nice.”

The star’s link to the show comes after the speculation that the likes of former TOWIE star Lydia Bright, Bros star Matt Goss and Rylan Clark Neal will also be appearing on the show.

Strictly Come Dancing fans will have to wait for the official line up which won’t be confirmed until late August.

However, the professional line up has already been confirmed with one major change.
