A JEALOUS ex-missus tried to stop a Tycoon from flying out by lying to cops he was kidnapping their three children — leading to a swoop by armed police at Newcastle airport.
The dad, Nigel Begg, 46,who has joint custody, was only allowed on the flight after showing them texts she had previously sent giving the OK, a court heard.
Then while the tech firm founder took his kids on holiday with his new wife he had his passport nearly cancelled by his fuming ex as she tried to strand him abroad.
Louise, 44, who he split with in 2013, tried to cancel his passport and Nigel got a shock call in Turkey from an HMRC official asking why he was making the application.
Nigel, whose firm Aspire Technology Solutions employs 150, then got the call at the resort.
He managed to convince the official to scrap the online application to cancel his passport.
He said: “It’s been three years of constant abuse — this was just the icing on the cake.”
His former wife, of South Shields, pleaded guilty to harassing him and was given a conditional discharge by South Tyneside magistrates.
She was also fined £20 and ordered to pay £85 costs.
