She was driving on the wrong side of the road with twice the legal blood alcohol level
Amber Willemsen, 40, who was an assistant principal before becoming a stripper, was driving on the wrong side of the road with twice the legal blood alcohol level when she collided head on with 31-year-old Endy Ekpanya’s cop car.
Willemsen was sentenced to 32 years in prison on Thursday
The father-of-one was airlifted to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Enter but died as a result of the smash. He was responding to a non-emergency call.
Willemsen was out on bail after a drugs charge at the time of the fatal collision. She had been on probation for two years for drink driving in 2014.
She was convicted for death by dangerous driving yesterday.
The 40-year-old was on her way home from working at Houston strip club The Ritz at the time of the crash. Jurors were shown footage of her drinking vodka during her shift.
She also admitted to drinking drinking vodka from the bottle in the car park before driving home.
Members of the police force formed a guard of honour outside the funeral, and both the Pearland police chief and the mayor were in attendance.
