Firefighters used a power saw to cut the tailpipe from the maroon-coloured vehicle and free the woman unharmed.
The strange predicament happened at last weekend's Winstock Music Festival in Winsted, near Minneapolis.
Her rescue was filmed and uploaded to Facebook by a user called Billy Little, who wrote: "How much alcohol does it take to get your head stuck in a diesel pickups exhaust tip?"
His post has already been shared more than two million times, much to everyone else's bemusement.
She was identified by her local paper as 19-year-old Kaitlyn Strom, according to Mercury News.
Kaitlyn told the Litchfield Independent Review: “We were just all having fun and I saw this big exhaust pipe and I was like, ‘Hey, my head could probably fit in that.’ So I tried it.”
She claims she was stuck there for about 45 minutes before being cut free by fire crews.
The woman apparently later posted a picture of herself posing next to the truck and the owner Tom Wold on Facebook.
Smiling with her thumbs up, she wrote: "Yeah I'm the tail pipe girl, whatchu know about it? #winstock2k".
The McLeod County Sheriff's Office says she was cited for underage drinking and escorted out.
