Boxer bottled sailor in vicious nightclub attack and punched girlfriend who tried to stop him

A CRAZED boxer bottled a sailor leaving his ear hanging off then thumped his girlfriend when she tried to stop him in a brutal nightclub attack.

Lee Nightingale, 20, left Calum Law, 19, so disfigured following the savage rampage he needed 27 stitches.

The raging thug smashed the glass bottle on the sailor's head then repeatedly punched him during the frenzied attack at Loft nightclub in Ayrshire.

He then grabbed Calum's 19-year-old girlfriend by the hair and smacked her as she frantically tried to stop the bust up in November 2016.

When he was booted out the club, Nightingale threatened to stab other revellers and yelled: "I’m going to get my Red Devil and finish what I started.”

Nightingale admitted raising his hands to the couple at Paisley Sheriff Court but claimed he had acted in self defence after Calum attacked him first, Daily Record reports.

But jurors saw through his lies and he was convicted of two assaults on the sailor, one assault on Emma and was found guilty of making stab threats outside the club.

The court heard Calum was left with a 3cm gash to his head and another 3cm cut to the back of his head after Nightingale bottled him.

He was left scarred for life following the brutal attack and had surgery to reattach the top two-thirds of his ear.

Calum also needed 40 stitches in total to close up all the wounds he suffered as a result of the attack.

Nightingale, who claims on social media he was a Western District boxing champion in 2010 and won bronze at the British Championships in 2010 and 2011, had his sentencing delayed due to a blunder.

He could be caged for as long as five years when he returns to the dock next month.
