Some demonstrators appeared to be apprehended by police and reportedly dragged out from the crowd.

A post on the National Front Facebook page had announced earlier the the rally would take place in the East Midlands  – but did not originally even reveal the exact location.

In a statement, a Lincolnshire Police spokesperson had said that they were aware of the planned march and would be monitoring.
