Dog helps probe into grisly murder by chasing man ‘as he moved body parts’

Two murder suspects who allegedly killed and dismembered a man have been arrested thanks to their pet dog.

One of the men was spotted on CCTV carrying body parts in a wheelbarrow with the pooch chasing along behind.

He abandoned the wheelbarrow on the streets of Santo Andre, in Brazil.

A security guard reportedly found the wheelbarrow full of body parts and called the Military Police.

Detectives showed the CCTV images around the neighbourhood and people quickly identified where the dog lived with its owner.

Officers raided the house and found two suspects reportedly drunk inside.

Both men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering Jose Leilson Vieira da Silva, 49, and butchering his body.

Cops seized a pair of bloodied trainers and a bloodied t-shirt from one of the house and the items of clothing have reportedly been sent for forensic testing.

Both suspects remain detained as the investigation continues.
