FACEBOOK and Instagram has reportedly crashed for thousands around the world.
The outage has largely affected mainland Europe and south-east Asia, though the UK appears to have been spared the social meltdown.
Photo-sharing site Instagram has been having issues since around 7am (GMT) this morning, according to Down Detector.
It says more than 1,000 people have reported problems and heat map suggests mainland Europe and south-east Asia.
Several people tried to access Facebook, only to be met with a message which read: "Sorry, something went wrong."
As always, the reaction on other functioning social media platforms has been immediate and hilarious.
Using the #FacebookDown hashtag, some memes depict chaos at their headquarters after several people took to Twitter to complain of outages.
While others including Elin Karlsson from Denmark bemoaned that she may "actually have to work now".
A scornful Vahag Remy, from Austria, said: "Maybe people can come out from their virtual hideouts and face real people."
"Facebook is down = okay," said Criselda from the Philippines, adding: "Instagram = NOT OKAY!"
And it seems Katrin Scheib from Moscow will be spending the day refreshing her browser until Facebook returns.
