Man busted for running drug-ring that spanned from Africa to NYC

A Pakistani man has been arrested for a massive international drug-trafficking operation that spanned Kenya, Mozambique, London and New York, US prosecutors announced on Friday.

Muhammad Asif Hafeez had allegedly been moving heroin, methamphetamine, and other drugs by the ton since 2013.

The Pakistani-born London man even tried to set up a crystal meth lab in Mozambique with his cronies, but authorities quashed those attempts when they seized several tons of ephedrine from a factory in India that the men planned to use to make methamphetamine, according to prosecutors.
