An animal sanctuary has shared a brilliant video of a cat who says "hello".
The 16-year-old feline, named Ruby, was filmed chatting to one of the staff members, Manchester Evening News reports.
The clip shows the moggy’s meow sounding a lot like the world "hello" and the volunteers at Bleakholt Animal Sanctuary, in Greater Manchester, needed to share the video with the rest of the world.
In the video when one of the staff members says "hello", Ruby can be heard meowing back – and it sounds exactly like she’s returning the greeting.
Karen Weed, centre manager, said Ruby is one of a kind.
“She’s a really friendly cat and she loves to have a conversation,” she said.
“She likes attention and for people to make a fuss of her. When you go over to her she will start talking, it’s mainly vocalisms, reacting to what you say.
“A couple of weeks ago we noticed that when we said ‘hello’, her meow reply sounded like she was saying it back.
“It was a bit of shock really. We’ve had talking cats before, but not one like Ruby.”
Ruby arrived at the sanctuary six weeks ago after her owner moved to Australia.
She is one of around 350 animals at the sanctuary in need of a new home.
As well as cats , the centre looks after dogs , horses, donkeys, pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs – and even a sheep.
