A mum-to-be now has her baby’s scan painted onto her nails thanks to a talented beautician.
Sarah Clarke painted her version of the scan freehand on to Stacey Donaldson’s nail ahead of her due date this Thursday.
Nail artist, Sarah, who owns SARenity salon in Stockton likes making designs that “nobody has tried” – and has even done Banksy’s girl with a red balloon.
She’s already booked weeks in advance, now she’s been inundated with more appointments and has even had TV offers, according to the Gazette.
Sarah, 34, from Ingleby Barwick, said: “It’s been mad, it’s just exploded.
“I posted the pic and by dinner time the next day it had 16,000 shares.
“I was nervous when it went viral, I thought ‘I don’t want to read any bad stuff’ but most people have been positive.
“A few people have said it’s ‘weird’ or ‘creepy’ but that’s fine.
“I wasn’t on Twitter , but I joined last night to see what was going on because people were messaging me screenshots saying ‘well done’.
“I was already busy.
“Now I’ve also had a lot of requests where people have lost a baby and they want me to do theirs.
“One lady wants it on her ring finger for her wedding.
“I waited for months to do it, until Stacey was about due.
“She’s one of my regulars, they’re happy to be my guinea pigs.
“She’s just overwhelmed with all the attention.
“I can copy most things, but I don’t know if I can do it until I try.
“This one was quite simple, I didn’t find it that difficult.”
Sarah, a qualified hairdresser, found she preferred doing nails so she started posting photos of her designs and it just “went crazy”.
SARenity also offers hairdressing, but Sarah is so busy she leave that to a colleague.
“Hairdressing doesn’t interest me, I’m just obsessed with doing nails now.”
