A music publicist confirmed he set up a meeting between a Kremlin-connected lawyer and Donald Trump’s eldest son on behalf of a Russian pop singer — who once starred in a music video with the commander-in-chief himself.
Rob Goldstone says the lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya, told him she had information about illegal campaign contributions to the Democratic National Committee that she thought Donald Trump Jr. might find interesting.
“Once she presented what she had to say, it was like, ‘Can you keep an eye on it? Should [Trump] be in power, maybe that’s a conversation that he may have in the future?’ ” Goldstone told The Washington Post.
Trump appeared in a music video with Goldstone’s client, Emin Agalarov, in 2013. The video was filmed while Trump was in Russia for the Miss Universe pageant.

Agalarov is the 36-year-old son of Aras Agalarov, a billionaire Russian real estate mogul with ties to Putin, according to Politico.
The younger Agalarov recently bragged to Forbes that the president is a close friend of the family’s and had planned on building a Trump Tower in Russia before he decided to run for office.
Trump held the 2013 Miss Universe pageant at one of the Agalarov’s properties, Crocus City Hall in Russia.
At the time, Trump said of the Agalarovs: “One of the great families in Russia is our partner in this endeavor,” according to Politico.
Trump Jr. said Sunday that Veselnitskaya’s claims about Russian donations to Hillary Clinton’s election campaign turned out to be “vague, ambiguous and made no sense.”
