SECRET government crisis offices are to have Sky News installed to keep up to date on terror.
The TV channel’s reporters are better informed than our spooks, say spy chiefs.
Senior intelligence sources said the £25million move will help the Government respond quicker when it convenes Cobra crisis meetings during emergencies.
Cobra is usually chaired by the PM or Home Secretary.
The Sky News rolling service will provide additional valuable information in a crisis.
A National Security Secretariat report seen by The Sun on Sunday says: “We find it is useful to have Sky TV on in the background because a lot more information comes from them than, say, perhaps the intelligence agencies in a very fast moving hostage situation, or something.”
