Six young men have been arrested in connection with the sexual assault of a teenage girls in northeastern India.
The incident was filmed by a witness, and the footage shows eight teenagers and young men attacking a girl in Jehanabad in Bihar state.
The attackers can be seen laughing and jeering as they tear the teenage girl’s clothes off and molest her.

No witnesses, including the person holding the mobile phone filming the attack, reportedly intervened.
The shocking video footage was shared widely on social media, prompting police to launch an investigation.
A motorcycle belonging to one of the attackers can be seen in the video, which led police to six of the eight people in the clip, NDTV reports.

Three of the arrested are 18 years old, one is 16, and one is 14, local news report.
‘Soon after the video had gone viral on social media the police acted on its own and arrested four of them,’ Inspector General of Police Nayear Husnain Khan told The Hindu. Two more arrests were later made.
‘We’ll arrest those absconding involved in the incident soon and ensure speedy trial in the case.’
Police said they are continuing to look for the remaining two attackers, and are providing counselling and support to the victim and her family.
