  •  The ’30’ title falls in line with Adele’s preferred way of naming her albums, with all three of her studio albums named after her age

Adele has finally shown fans her upcoming album cover, confirmed it will be called 30, and revealed it will be released on November 19.

The singer, 33, announced the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday alongside a lengthy note in which she explained that she finally felt ready to release her music as she has ‘never felt more peaceful’, following her divorce from Simon Konecki.

The striking cover artwork featured a side profile shot of Adele posing in front of a blue-green background.

While she captioned the snap simply, ’30 – November 19′,  she also shared a picture of a lengthy statement in which she confessed that she spent many nights ‘sobbing and consumed with grief’ as she struggled to come to terms with the breakdown of her marriage – the inspiration behind her album.

She began her lengthy note by reflecting on the tumultuous years following her split from Simon, admitting she was battling ‘inner turmoil’ and being confronted by ‘blistering home truths’.

She penned:  ‘I was certainly nowhere to near where I’d hoped to be when I first started it nearly 3 years ago.

‘Quite the opposite actually. I rely on routine and consistency to feel safe, I always have. And yet there I was knowingly – willingly even, throwing myself into a maze of absolute mess and inner turmoil!

‘I’ve learned a lot of blistering home truths about myself along the way. I’ve shed many layers but also wrapped myself in new ones.

‘Discovered genuinely useful and wholesome materials to lead with, and I felt like I’ve finally found my feeling again. I’d go as far to say that I’ve never felt this peaceful in my life.’

Ready: The singer, 33, announced the news in an Instagram post on Wednesday alongside a lengthy note in which she explained that she finally felt ready to release her music

Explaining that she now felt in a good place about releasing her album, the singer went on to thank her friends for staying by her side as she struggled with a broken heart.

She continued: ‘And so, I’m ready to finally put this album out. It was my ride or die throughout the most turbulent period of my life. When I was writing it, it was my friend who came over with a bottle of wine and a takeaway to cheer me up.

‘My wise friend who always gives the best advice. Not to forget the one who’s wild and says “It’s your Saturn babes f**k it, you only live once”.

‘The friend who’d stay up all night and just hold my while I’d sob relentlessly not knowing why. The get up and go friend who would pick me up and take me out somewhere I said I didn’t want to go but just wanted to get me out the house for some vitamin D.

‘That friend who snuck in and left a magazine with a face mask and some bath salts to make me feel loved while inadvertently reminding me not only what month it actually was but that I should probably exercise some self care.

‘And then that friend who no matter what, checked in on me even thought I’d stopped checking in with them because I’d become so consumed by my own grief. I’ve painstakingly rebuilt my house and my heart since then and this album narrates it. Home is where the heart is x’

She had her long blonde tresses styled into a perfect blow dry and opted for a typically glamorous makeup look complete with her trademark winged eyeliner.

It comes after Adele sent fans into meltdown yet again as she played a clip of her upcoming single Easy On Me during her very first Instagram live stream on Saturday.

The star, who admitted she would get into trouble by her management, pressed play on the track in which she likened her emotions to a river.

As her followers flooded the comments’ section with questions about her upcoming album, she revealed the project will be inspired by her divorce from husband Simon.

In its lyrics, she sang, ‘There ain’t no gold in this river that I’ve been washing my hands in forever.

‘I know there is hope in these waters but I can’t bring myself to swim when I am drowning in the silence, baby let me in…’

The vocal powerhouse also opened up about her mental health during the candid chat, revealing she takes it on a ‘day-by-day’ basis but feels it is ‘very good’ currently.

‘My mental health is very good at the moment. I take it day-by-day and I address whatever comes my way,’ she admitted.

‘It definitely helps me feel better if I take my time. Writing my music… yeah it’s been really therapeutic for sure.

‘I think I lost the appreciation for that. I got things out that I didn’t want to say out loud and talk about,’ the Hello hitmaker added.

‘What’s my next album going to be based on? Divorce, babe, divorce,’ the Tottenham-raised beauty quipped.

Adele also wasn’t shy of dipping her toes into the Free Britney movement, telling viewers that she had met the ‘lovely’ star a few times and is glad she’s happy.

She recently took to Twitter to reveal her new song is called Easy On Me and is set for release on 15 October.

In a brooding black and white teaser, the star’s trademark liquid eyeliner was visible as well as her long nails as she drove a car down a country road having just slotted a cassette into a player with the name of the song scrawled across.

Adele could be seen with her hand extended out of the car window moving in time with the music. She was sporting a PVC mac and lengthy, pointed nails.

As she sped along the street, sheet music blew out of bags in her car and into the air as the piano played – yet no vocals were heard from the pop icon.

Fans swiftly flooded the post with excited replies, as users responded: ‘ADELE OMGGG… OMFG… At least now we know why the comeback took so long, the songs flew out of the car… took three years to gather them all music notes…

‘I LOVE YOU SO MUCH… SHE IS HERE TO BREAK THE INTERNET… Already did… FINALLY! YESSSS… Woww’.

The release came after fans could barely contain their excitement on Monday as they flooded Twitter with speculation of her fourth album.

Tease: The social media update came just days after Adele fans speculated that new music was on the way after a series of ’30’ billboards popped up across the globe

She prompted the lively online conversations after updating her social media channels to encompass an intriguing dark teal hue.

Observant enthusiasts noticed the colour was synonymous with a series of ’30’ billboards that popped up across the globe last week.

The ’30’ title would certainly fall in line with Adele’s preferred way of naming her albums, with all three of her studio albums named after her age.

Her debut album 19 was released in 2008, followed by 21 in 2011 and 25 in 2015.

Fans going wild: Fan accounts spotted multiple billboards suggesting her fourth album would follow her pattern of calling albums after her age (pictured in 2020)

As Adele has followed the previous pattern, the 30 album has plenty of inspiration, having been the age she separated from ex-husband Simon.

The Brit Award winner recently broke her silence on her divorce, recalling the heartbreaking moment their son Angelo asked, ‘Don’t you love my dad anymore?’

Speaking to American Vogue in her first interview in five years, Adele revealed she hopes her new album, in which she sings about her divorce, will help Angelo understand what happened when he’s older.

She explained: ‘He has so many simple questions for me that I can’t answer, because I don’t know the answer. Like, ‘Why can’t we still live together?’

”That’s just not what people do when they get divorced.”

”But why not?”

‘I’m like, “I don’t f***ing know.” That’s not what society does.’

‘And, “Why don’t you love my dad anymore?” and I’d be like, “I do love your dad. I’m just not in love.” I can’t make that make sense to a nine-year-old.”

Adele also admitted she struggled with talking to their son about her separation, causing her so much anxiety that her therapist suggested she record herself speaking to Angelo so she could remember what had been said.

She told British Vogue: ‘Obviously Simon and I never fought over him or anything like that. Angelo’s just like, ‘I don’t get it.’

‘I don’t really get it either. There are rules that are made up in society of what happens and doesn’t happen in marriage and after marriage, but I’m a very complex person.’

She added: ‘When I was 30, my entire life fell apart and I had no warning of it.’

Yet insisting there was no bad blood between the pair, she added: ‘It just wasn’t… It just wasn’t right for me any more. I didn’t want to end up like a lot of other people I knew.

‘I wasn’t miserable miserable, but I would have been miserable had I not put myself first. But, yeah, nothing bad happened or anything like that.’

Despite their separation, Adele has no regrets, saying she chose the ‘perfect person’ to have a child with.

Elsewhere, she confirmed that she and her new boyfriend, sports agent Rich Paul, 39, are ‘very happy’ and has revealed that he’s ‘frazzled’ by her huge, global fame.

She also told American Vogue in a separate profile published Thursday, that Rich ‘just incredibly arrived’ days before her estranged father passed away from cancer aged 57 in May this year, after the pair fell out in 2011.

The cockney star introduced Rich – who represents LeBron James – to the interviewer, who noted how the singer beamed with, ‘Hi, darlin’!’ when he walked into the photoshoot.

‘Yes, we’re together,’ Adele confirmed in the interview, adding: ‘We’re very happy.’

The pair have been together for a few months, but have shared mutual friends for a much longer period of time.

The feature noted that – after enjoying her second cocktail – Adele then opened up further about the relationship, explaining how they did not plan to ‘go public’ when they were first seen a basket ball game together in July this year.

‘And I didn’t get dragged along to the [basketball game the other night] because that’s his line of work,’ she said.

Recounting the same story to American Vogue, she said: ‘I didn’t mean to go public with it. I just wanted to go to the game. I just love being around him. I just love it.’

The conversation of the world finding out about their romance did crop up during the outing: ‘He was like, ‘What are people going to say?’ And I was like, ‘That you signed me. As an athlete. You’re my agent.’ And he was like, ‘Okay, cool.’

‘I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge’: Adele said her relationship with Rich works because he knows where he’s at in life (pictured in 2021)

However, the Grammy winning star confessed that it no longer feels ‘stressful’ going out in the public eye with her new man by her side.

‘It used to, but it hasn’t been this time because he doesn’t mind. Normally, I think I get scared about it because it’s very emasculating. Really emasculating,’ she told British Vogue.

‘I did date before Rich, but they hated it,’ Adele said of her previous boyfriends.

‘They’d find it stressful being out or seen with me, which meant that I guarded all of it beyond. It never evolved because we were never experiencing things together.

‘Whereas he’s not frazzled by it at all. It feels like it’s consistent and considerate enough that I don’t care who knows.’

She added excitedly: ‘He’s great. He’s so f**kng funny. He’s so smart, you know.’

Meanwhile, in her interview with American Vogue, Adele says she feels safe with Paul.

‘I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild,’ she said.

‘I’m a 33-year-old divorced mother of a son, who’s actually in charge. The last thing I need is someone who doesn’t know where they’re at, or what they want. I know what I want. And I really know what I don’t want.’

Elsewhere in the British edition, Adele reveals for the first time that actually made peace with her father before he died.

‘We actually got our peace, again contrary to reports,’ Adele says. ‘I played him my album just a week before he passed, over Zoom. One thing that definitely happened in my divorce was that it humanised my parents for me. Big time. I went to hell and back!’

Adding: ‘And in that I found the peace to forgive him. He was ready to go and he lasted a long time with it. So thank you.’

Last month it had been reported that Adele was set to make a show-stopping comeback in time for Christmas with a televised Las Vegas concert.

The alleged spectacular will mark the singer’s first live performance in over four years, following her record-breaking stadium tour which concluded in 2017.

A source told The Sunday Mirror: ‘It’s been a long time coming but her label wants it released before Christmas and have their sights set on a performance in Vegas.

‘Adele and her management have been in talks with BBC America about broadcasting it around the world. This will be one of few performances as part of her promotional tour,’ the source added.

‘Obviously with ongoing Covid dramas and concern for safety it could affect recording, but this is the date scheduled right now.’

In a bid to top her last LP 25, which sold a whopping 23 million copies since its 2015 release, the songwriter’s latest project was due to be dropped last year but was delayed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Along with a major marketing campaign, her record label Sony is thought to be penciling in a November release for the collection of tracks which will see the icon reflect on her divorce from husband Simon.

Ed Sheeran recently revealed he believed Adele was aiming for a festive comeback. In a recent interview he said: ‘I think Adele’s coming back before Christmas. I’ve heard rumours.’
