Amy Schumer was forced to cancel her performance at the 2022 Netflix Is A Joke Festival just hours before she was scheduled to hit the stage after testing positive for COVID-19.

The 40-year-old stand-up comedian revealed the news to her 11.6 million followers in a video posted to her Instagram Story on Saturday.

She continued: ‘I tested positive for COVID-19 about an hour ago, so yeah, please, I don’t know [what to say], but at least my hair looks good.’

An hour later, she uploaded another recording, after changing into a pair of black pajamas and throwing her hair in a ponytail, to reflect on having to isolate away from her husband Chris Fischer and their son Gene, three.

In the clip, the Life & Beth star admitted to feeling ‘lonely’ and bored, but ceased the opportunity to show off her ‘incredibly Elizabeth Holmes voice.’

Under both posts, Schumer received an outpouring of comments wishing her a speedy recovery.

Just two days ago, while appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers, she and the host talked about how she is one of the few celebrities he knows that has yet to contract the coronavirus.

‘I’m a little smug about it,’ she joked. ‘I haven’t had it yet.’

She then pointed the sky and said: ‘Hey, He’s [God] looking out. So stupid.’
