Andy Gray predicted people "might laugh" at his suggestion for the next Manchester United manager.
He was right.
Why? Because he named Roberto Martinez as the man to fill Jose Mourinho’s shoes should the self-proclaimed Special One get the sack.
Mourinho is on shaky ground after back-to-back defeats in the Premier League.
On Monday night, the Red Devils were thumped 0-3 at home to Tottenham.
In their post-match analysis on beIN Sports, Gray and his co-presenter Richard Keys discussed potential candidates to replace Mourinho at Old Trafford.
Keys suggested Zinedine Zidane – who guided Real Madrid to successive Champions League trophies – should be given the job.
He said: "I think his (Mourinho) time is done at Manchester United.
"I think they’re a club in crisis. I don’t think players want to play for him. I don’t think players want to go there and join him.
"The football they play is not exciting, not even by their own standards."
But Everton legend Gray accused his pal of "plucking a name" from thin air, suggesting former Toffees boss Martinez as a viable alternative.
The Spaniard, sacked by Everton in 2016 after three trophy-less years at Goodison Park, is currently in charge of the Belgium national team.

He led them to the World Cup semi-finals this summer.
Gray said: "I’m going to give you another one and you might laugh at me: Roberto Martinez."
