Anna Nicole Smith’s ex Larry Birkhead brought their daughter Dannielynn, 15, to the Barnstable Brown Gala in Louisville on the eve of the Kentucky Derby.
Dannielynn was dressed in a statement outfit, the swank men’s suit Janet Jackson wore to the same gala in 2003, which her father bought at a charity auction.
In a touch of serendipity, Janet was also attending this year’s event, where a source exclusively tells DailyMail.com she saw Dannielynn and exclaimed: ‘That’s my outfit!’

Janet showered praise on Dannielynn, saying: ‘You look so amazing. It’s so cute!’ to which the teenager replied: ‘Thank you, I love it!’
Larry is a devoted Janet Jackson fan and, while working as a photojournalist, even snapped her while she was wearing the ensemble that Dannielynn wore this Friday.
‘I recognized the outfit having photographed Janet at the party in 2003 as a photographer and I thought it would be cool for Dannielynn to have,’ he said.
Larry told DailyMail.com that his daughter ‘thought it was very cool. She loves Janet’s music and she really thinks Janet has cool style.’
