Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson put the Gunners 1-0 up against Lazio on Saturday evening as Unai Emery’s side beat the Italian outfit 2-0.
The 18-year-old was on hand to slot home after Alex Iwobi’s shot found the post. However, he still received a ticking off from one of his team-mates.
Following his goal, the Arsenal starlet was congratulated by Granit Xhaka before receiving a lecture from the Swiss midfielder.
Xhaka was keen to point out to Nelson that the teenager was out of position in a passage of play that took place only moments before the goal.
Nelson looked a bit dazed as his colleague passionately explained what he had done wrong.
And his actions didn’t go unnoticed by Arsenal’s fans. Gunners supporters loved the enthusiasm and leadership displayed by the 25-year-old and some even called for him to be made captain.
One fan tweeted: "Xhaka is a born leader. Giving advice to Nelson for a situation before the goal after congratulating him. One of the main contenders for Captaincy."
Another supporter posted: "Nelson scoring and Xhaka telling him what he did wrong in defense. Just give him the captaincy permanently."
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrapped up the game for Arsenal in the second half with a neat finish.
