The latest: Azealia Banks, 29, took to Instagram on Tuesday showing viewers an altar she had put together after previously posting a gruesome clip that appeared to show her digging up her dead pet cat Lucifer and boiling it
The 212 performer put up the series of posts to the social media site after she posted – and deleted – a disturbing set of clips earlier Tuesday in which she and another person exhumed the bagged remains of her pet cat who died three months ago.
‘A lot of you guys don’t know, Lucifer the cat died three months ago, and we had to put him in the ground, and we’re digging him up for the very first time,’ the Liquorice artist said in the clip. ‘She’s coming back to life c****.’
DailyMail.com has reached out to Banks’ representatives for comment.
The first video shows her using her hands to claw in the soil to dig something up before pulling a large white bag out of the soil.
The New York City native captioned the clip to more than 687,000 followers, ‘The move is booked. We’re officially out this b****
She could be heard scatting before proudly declaring: ‘The cat… is in the bag.’
Banks captioned the post: ‘Lucifer 2009-2020. My Dear kitty. Thank you for everything. A legend. An icon. Forever a serval serve.’
The next video is even more grotesque as it shows her stirring a boiling pot of contents including what looked like a skull which she captioned ‘She’s ready’ before also deleting it.
Past references in media to her cat Lucifer include an XXL piece from July 2017 in which she was reported to have ‘fled to Montreal in 2011’ amid a time she was ‘facing eviction with her cat Lucifer’ at her home in New York City.
Her name quickly began trending on Twitter on Tuesday morning as thousands reacted to social media posts with memes.

The posts come amid a report from the New York Post that her home in Woodland Hills, California was sold as she is about to make the move to Miami.
Her 2,348-square-foot LA house sold in a non-judicial foreclosure for $845,000 to an unknown buyer in November, according to a ‘bankruptcy sale’ listing which was posted onto Realtor.com.
She has previously admitted to being a ‘witch’ and revealed in 2015 that her interest in magic came from her mother.
‘My mother practiced white table magic. Prayers to the ancestors and praying to saints and praying for all kind of protection’ she told Broadly Vice.
Amused: Her name quickly began trending on Twitter on Tuesday morning as thousands reacted to social media posts with memes
Compassion: One Twitter user had empathy for the artist
In another tweet, she attempted to explain her actions by writing: ‘Black people are naturally born SEERS, DIVINERS, WITCHES AND WIZARDS. we have REAL supernatural powers, and the sooner we ALL learn to cultivate them and access them, the sooner we can REALLY fix s***.
This is also not the first time Azealia has been criticized for her alleged treatment of animals. In December 2016 she shared a bizarre Instagram video showing herself cleaning out a cupboard after three years of apparently sacrificing chickens.
The video starts with Azaelia looking ready to do some DIY, telling fans: ‘The amount of c**p that’s about to come off my floor right now guys. Oh My God.’
However, it soon emerges that this is no ordinary cleaning job with the camera panning to a small closet covered with the remains of feathers and blood.
Bizarre: This is also not the first time Azealia has been criticized for her alleged treatment of animals as in December 2016 she shared a bizarre Instagram video showing herself cleaning out a cupboard after three years of apparently sacrificing chickens
‘Guys, you know, I’ve got to scrape all this ‘s***’ up,’ she declares, as blood can be seen sprayed all over the walls.
It is not known exactly why the rapper has been sacrificing the birds, but she claims on the video that it is ‘three years of brujeria,’ which is the Spanish word for witchcraft.
‘I’ve got my sandblaster, my goggles…it’s about to go down,’ she says, protective eyewear perched on her nose. ‘Real witches do real things.’

The star can then be seen brandishing her sandblaster to scrape an array of feathers off the closet floor.
Banks also famously got into a heated back-and-forth on social media with artist Sia who criticized her over the post.
Sia, now 45, wrote: ‘sacrificing animals for your gain is the wackest s*** I’ve ever heard. Get ahead by being awesome, kind and working hard.’
Doesn’t like what she sees: She also famously got into a heated back-and-forth on social media with artist Sia (seen in February 2013) who criticized her over the post
Warning! She followed the post by offering to produce an ointment for the singer’s ‘chapped face’, before declaring ‘this is your first warning’
Responding to the remarks, Azealia raged: ‘And your ugly pasty dry white lady winter skin face is the ugliest fave (sic) I’ve ever seen that must be why you hide it all the time.
‘HAVE SOME F*****G RESPECT FOR MY F*****G TRADITIONAL AFRICAN RELIGION YOU POMPOUS WHITE B*TCH’
She followed the post up with another where she offered to produce an ointment for the singer’s ‘chapped face’, before declaring ‘this is your first warning’.
The posts were deleted at the time and replaced with a screen grab of the message ‘Stop apologizing. No more explanations.’
In another bizarre online rant, in May last year Banks claimed she spent a weekend at Elon Musk’s home while waiting to work with his girlfriend Grimes in a collaboration that never happened.
The controversial rapper claimed Musk was freaking out about having claimed in a tweet last week that he’d already secured funding to take Tesla private. Musk later insisted he’s never met the rapper.
But Banks claimed in a series of Instagram story posts that Musk had taken acid before he sent that tweet.
‘They bring me out there on the premise that we would hang and make music,’ Banks said. ‘But his dumb**s kept tweeting and tucked his d**k in between his a** cheeks once s**t hit the fan.’
‘I saw him in the kitchen tucking his tail in between his legs scrounging for investors to cover his ass after that tweet,’ she said of Musk over the weekend. ‘He was stressed and red in the face.’
‘I waited around all weekend while Grimes coddled her boyfriend for being too stupid to know not to go on Twitter while on acid,’ she added on Instagram.

Banks also went on a vicious rant about Grimes, who she branded an ‘idiot, Musk who she called a ‘beta male’ and branded them both ‘crackhead’ in a rambling attack. A rep for Musk’s dismissed Banks’ claims as ‘absolute nonsense’
In subsequent posts, Banks even suggested that the couple may have invited her to their home for ‘some weird threesome sex s**t to begin with.’
