Yerry Mina is set to join Everton for £28.5m (€32m) after Barcelona agreed on the fee with the Toffees.
The Colombia international was strongly linked with Manchester United after an impressive World Cup.
And Mina only signed for Barcelona in January from Palmeiras, but has failed to impress Ernesto Valverde.
With the signing of Clement Lenglet from Sevilla, Barcelona signalled their intention to quickly move Mina on.
And Everton have now swooped, claim Sport, striking a deal worth £28.5m (€32m) with the Blaugrana after already completing a move for Lucas Digne.
The report claims Mina will sign a five-year deal at Goodison in a major boost for Marco Silva and that the deal is ‘practically closed.’
Jose Mourinho will likely turn his attention to Jerome Boateng with reports in Germany claiming United are keen on the Bayern Munich star.
Talks are thought to have taken place with the two clubs taking part in a friendly at the Allianz Arena, with Javi Martinez scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win for the Germans.
