Beyoncé has hired the first black photographer to shoot a Vogue cover in the publication’s 126-year history after she was given full control over the cover of the magazine’s September issue.
As per an agreement, Vogue‘s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour has not only given the pop queen control over the cover of the September issue of the fashion magazine, which is the most important and largest issue of the year, but also over the photos of her inside the magazine and the captions.
The September cover of Vogue will feature images of Beyoncé, photographed by 23-year-old Tyler Mitchell.
“The reason a 23-year-old black photographer is photographing Beyoncé for the cover of Vogue is because Beyoncé used her power and influence to get him that assignment,” the Huffington Post reported quoting a source.
