Hair Love was released as a short film in 2019, winning an Oscar at the 2020 Academy Awards.

The story was published as a children’s book with illustrations by Vashti Harrison in May.

The short caught the attention of HBO Max which is currently developing an animated TV show based on the characters of Hair Love, called Young Love.

Blue Ivy’s audiobook performance could make her a Grammy contender.

The spoken word categories are often dominated by big-name projects, making the combination of Academy Award honors and star-power a recipe for success.

That wouldn’t be Blue’s first trophy, however.
