Big Brother 2023: Paul and Dylan are eliminated

Big Brother 2023 elimination: Paul and Dylan are forced to leave the house after being voted off the ITV show following dramatic row

Paul and Dylan became the latest housemates to be booted from the show during Friday’s dramatic double eviction following a very dramatic fight night.

The pair faced the wrath of the live audience and were booed even before their names were announced by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best.

Paul, 24, emerged from the house to face the fuming crowd just 24-hours after his foul-mouthed outburst which saw the show’s live feed yanked off air.

Immediately after his elimination, Paul reflected on his argument with Trish Balusa – who had accused him of being a ‘bully’ in the lead-up to his eviction and explained that he and his rival were ‘very similar’ in personality.

Speaking to hosts AJ and Will, he said: ‘I won’t lie, it was overwhelming. I did kind of expect it. I know I’m quite a loud person. When people say you forget the cameras are there, you really really do.

Bye: The pair were both booed by the audience ahead of their names being announced by hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best (Dylan pictured)

‘I think me and Trish are very, very similar. I do like to wind people up and I think that’s part of the game. I could see why last night she thought that but in the house we all did wind each other up.’

During his time in the house, Paul had been seen growing close to dancer Olivia, 23, although he insisted that their relationship is strictly platonic as he reminded viewers that he has a girlfriend.

He said: ‘On the outside, I have a lot of girlfriends. Like, friends who are girls. I’ve got a girlfriend – she’s sat right there. Olivia was a very similar character to me so we’re just good friends I think. We’re like-minded people.’

Next Dylan, 39, took the walk of shame but managed to put on a brave face saying had been ‘expecting it’.

Again greeted by boos host Will attempted to reassure the DJ saying: ‘It’s all a pantomime’.

He had been taken on role of house chef but fell out with housemates Trish and Noky when they had been paired up for a special task earlier in the week and nominated him for a separate eviction.

Although he survived that eviction, he accused the girls of ‘black-on-black’ crime and admitted that moment is probably why he was voted out by the public on Friday’s episode.

Speaking following the eviction, he said: ‘Definitely because I lost my rag the other day. I knew before the nominations. This week, I was getting snappy and there is a flash point there as you can see. I can just say sorry again for my outburst.

Honesty: Immediately after his elimination, Paul reflected on his argument with Trish Balusa – who had accused him of being a ‘bully’ in the lead-up to his eviction and explained that he and his rival were ‘very similar’ in personality

Cuddle: The controversial contestant was greeted by his mum

On the lead-up to all of this stuff, me and Trish and I were just at each other all the time. We were just off all the way, all the way, all the way.

However, Dylan said he was hoping that as the first amputee to take part in the series that he has proven to other amputees that they can do the same if they want to.

‘The whole idea of this thing was when I saw the advert was that this would be a good way to do it. I wondered how many amputees had seen that advert and thought ‘How can I do that?’ Hopefully, along with all the madness, I’ve shown that I can give it a go.’

It came after Big Brother viewers finally discovered the truth behind this week ‘fight night’ which saw the show’s live stream yanked off air.

During Friday’s show Paul exploded in a foul-mouthed rant  as he clashed with fellow housemates Trish and Noky, leaving the latter in tears.

After missing out on an invitation to Yinrun’s party which she won following a secret task, a fuming Paul lost him temper and even flashed his bare bottom the carefree revellers saying: Your little d**khead party, I’m sick of it!’.

After throwing things from the balcony he headed downstairs and threatened to tip away two cocktails, before hitting out at Noky.

No worries: Again greeted by boos host Will attempted to reassure the DJ saying: ‘It’s all a pantomime’

Early exit? Speaking following the eviction, he said: ‘Definitely because I lost my rag the other day. I knew before the nominations. This week, I was getting snappy and there is a flash point there as you can see. I can just say sorry again for my outburst

Paul furiously asked what she was ‘staring at’ before branding her ‘weird’ and while his rival played it cool, she eventually broke down in tears following the confrontation.

Later defending her pal Trish branded Paul a ‘bully’ and slammed him saying he ‘liked scaring people’.

‘How am I a bully? You don’t scare me you little weirdo’ he exclaimed, before going on to say he was ‘being belittled’.

Unfazed Trish continued to enjoy the party and did the limbo as she shouted: ‘You’re a bully! You are a bully!’.

Following the tense exchange things only appeared to get worse as the house became even more divided.

Later the house was put on lockdown after bosses scrambled behind the scenes to keep the contestants safe, The Sun reported.

The rival groups were separated and locked in separate rooms in a bid to keep Paul and Noky from each other.

Moon: During Friday’s eviction night the dramatic scenes saw the security officer flashing his bare bum as he clashed with fellow housemates Trish, 33, and Noky, 26, leaving the latter in tears

Tension: After throwing things from the balcony he headed downstairs and threatened to tip away two cocktails, before hitting out at Noky (pictured)

Security were on standby with Paul finally calming down after being locked up for over an hour.

A source told the publication: ‘Everyone talks about Fight Night in 2004 but no one expected this year’s sanitised cohort to be a contender for Fight Night 2.0.

‘Big Brother acted fast to stop things becoming physical and pulled the rival groups apart, locking one half in the bedroom.

‘Security were on standby but luckily a lock and key was enough to stop things becoming physical’.

JENKIN

PROFESSION: Barman

FROM: Bridgend

HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS DESCRIBE YOU? ‘Loud and messy, and irritating probably.’

TOM

AGE: 21

PROFESSION: Butcher

FROM: Somerset

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO GET NOMINATED FOR? ‘I think I might potentially offend some people. My mouth moves faster than my brain.’

TRISH

AGE: 33

PROFESSION: Stay-at-home mum

FROM: Luton

WHAT WOULD YOU DO WITH THE PRIZE MONEY IF YOU WON? ‘I think my first priority is to sort out my housing situation. The housing crisis is just ridiculous and my housing situation has been unstable. It brings me a lot of mum guilt because I’ve got a young child. It’s my biggest incentive and motivation to win.’

JORDAN

AGE: 25

PROFESSION: Lawyer

FROM: Scunthorpe

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO GET NOMINATED FOR? ‘Being cantankerous and acting as if I don’t want to be there even if I do in my heart. They might nominate me for being disengaged perhaps or not paying everyone an equal amount of attention. They may feel left out but I can’t help that.’

NOKY

AGE: 26

PROFESSION: Banker

FROM: Derby

WHAT MADE YOU APPLY TO BECOME A BIG BROTHER HOUSEMATE? ‘I love challenges. I’ve had so many amazing times in my life, like going to Miss Universe as Miss Great Britain. I like to do something different and I think this is the next challenge I want to conquer. I want to show people what pageant girls are really like and disprove a lot of stereotypes around them. I also show what it’s like being a woman who’s worked in male- dominated fields. I want to show that women are capable of doing anything they want.’

YINRUN

 AGE: 25

PROFESSION: Customer support agent

FROM: Harrogate

WHAT PART OF THE EXPERIENCE ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO? ‘I’m most excited about being surrounded by so many people from different walks of life. I don’t think I will ever live in a house again with so many different kinds of people. I’m from China and I think it will help me be more immersed in British culture.’

CHANELLE

AGE: 29

PROFESSION: Dental therapist

FROM: Llanelli

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO BE NOMINATED FOR? ‘Probably just for being annoying. In Wales, we have this saying, “I’ll do it now in a minute.” So like, if I went to make food and I left a dish on the side, I have all good intentions of washing it but I’d be like, “I’ll do it now in a minute,” and it might be three hours later before I do it. So probably for silly stuff like that.’

MATTY

AGE: 24

PROFESSION: Doctor

FROM: Isle Of Man

HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DESCRIBE YOU? ‘They would say I’m quite like a lucky person or someone who really wants to experience life to its fullest and do everything that it has to offer. Someone who is kind and fun and doesn’t take life too seriously.’

HENRY

AGE: 25

PROFESSION: Food writer

FROM: Cotswolds

HOW WOULD YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY DESCRIBE YOU? ‘I think they would say I’m particularly sociable and very chatty. I mean, I’ll be honest, my parents would definitely say I’m a bit of a snob but I take it as a compliment. I think it means you’ve got high standards and good taste. They’d say I was quite a peculiar child.’

OLIVIA

AGE: 23

PROFESSION: Dancer

FROM: Glasgow

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LIKELY TO GET NOMINATED FOR? ‘I think when people are in that hangry state, that’s when I’ll wind people up and grind their gears. I think they’ll nominate me for being full on, and for my brutal honesty and oversharing of opinions.’
