The first week of US showings marked director Quentin Tarantino’s biggest opening ever with $41.5 million. 

Now, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood is going global with its Mexico City premiere. 

Brad Pitt, who stars opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the film, walked the red carpet and greeted fans ahead of the showing, Monday night.

The 55-year-old went monochromatic in a beige suit, matching boots and a mustard shirt. He paired it with a straw fedora that matched the same color of his suit.

Brad overhauled his workout regimen for his shirtless scene in the film, a source told People.  

‘He really takes his workouts seriously,’the source said. ‘It’s been a whole lifestyle change. And he looks amazing.’ 

Following his split from Angelina Jolie in 2016 Pitt has ‘worked very hard on himself to be a better, healthier person and to be the best dad possible,’ the insider added.

DiCaprio is currently vacationing in Italy and couldn’t attend the screening in Mexico. 

Set in 1969 Hollywood in an alternate timeline, it interlaces ‘multiple storylines in a modern fairy tale tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age.’

The group of killers take a group of hostages including Tate and the film climaxes with Booth and Dalton trying to foil their plan.

DiCaprio plays Rick Dalton in the film, a television and western actor who begins to fear his career is dwindling, the character is loosely based on Burt Reynolds.

For this: Brad fell in love when working out to get in shape for his shirtless scene 

Director and producer Tarantino recently said that he had DiCaprio in mind when he wrote the script for Once Upon a Time in Hollywood but was unsure if they would be able to get him.  

Tarantino also praised the Oscar winner he said ‘He kind of stands alone today, like Al Pacino or Robert De Niro were in the ’70s, where they weren’t trying to do two movies a year — they could do anything they wanted, and they wanted to do this. So that means this must be pretty good.’

Leo reportedly took a $5 million pay cut up front, going from his standard $20 million a movie to $15 million, while making back end deal to get profits off the movie.
