Singer Brian Mannix ‘is attacked by a SHARK’ while out on Sam Newman’s boat – just a month after he fell over on the same vessel and was left with a nose gash
Brian Mannix has been left injured for the second time in as many months during yet another ill-fated trip out on Sam Newman’s boat.
The 60-year-old former front man of Uncanny X-Men showed off his badly cut arm in a post on Instagram on Monday, and claimed he’d been bitten by a shark.
He went on to thank former Australian rules footballer Warwick Capper, who had also been on board the boat, saying he had jumped into the water and saved him.

‘It’s either Sam Newman’s boat or the bloody sharks! Thanks to @rickynixon and @warrickcapper for jumping in and helping me,’ Brian wrote.
Brian added that he’d been admitted to hospital, where he was being kept overnight for observation.
‘They are just gonna keep me in overnight, cos they reckon I’m sexy?’ he continued.

In another Instagram post on Monday, Brian added: ‘How many people have to be shark attack victims before we fight back?’
Just before Christmas, Brian was left bruised after falling over on the same boat, sharing a photo of his battered face on social media on December 20.
‘Sam Newman’s boat did this. Apart from the face fall into the step – not p***ed. Really choppy water – boat rocked like Rose Tattoo! – it was a great day!’ he wrote.

Speaking to the Herald Sun on Monday, Brian said he couldn’t believe his bad luck, having had two incidents while on board the 66-foot yacht.
‘Don’t even know how it happened. I went swimming and somehow I cut my arm up and the Wiz [Capper] jumped in and got me,’ said the Uncanny X-Men frontman.
‘Every time I go on the boat I end up coming home covered in blood. Thanks Warwick Capper for saving my life.’
Coming to his rescue: Brian went on to thank former AFL player Warwick Capper, who had also been onboard the boat, saying he had jumped into the water and saved him. Former AFL super agent Ricky Nixon and aerobics champion Sue Stanley were among some of the other guests on the boat.
Meanwhile, former AFL Footy Show host Sam, 76, said he’d got ‘the first aid kit out and bandaged him’, and joked that he’d ‘like the clips back’.
‘It’s uncanny how he gets himself into so much strife. He came back with a reasonable gash and bleeding profusely,’ Sam told the Herald Sun.
‘If he ever comes again I’m just going to let the coast guard know to have an ambulance follow us.’
