Just hours after it was revealed that Britney Spears’ father Jamie will move to end the longstanding conservatorship, the singer was spotted out and about.

The 39-year-old singer was spotted out for a drive on Wednesday afternoon, while her boyfriend Sam Asghari was also spotted out solo after a workout.

Both appeared to be in high spirits after news that the conservatorship her father has controlled for nearly 14 years may finally be coming to an end.

Spears was seen in her white Mercedes-AMG SL 63 on Wednesday afternoon, donning dark sunglasses.

Her boyfriend Sam Ashgari was all smiles wearing a dark grey form fitting t-shirt while talking on the phone.

He also wore light grey shorts and white sneakers during his afternoon outing.

Ashgari was also seen going into a workout, wearing a dark tank top when he was asked about the conservatorship coming to an end. 

‘Thank you. Are you joining me for a workout?’ Sam asked, as the photographer agreed and they both left.

Both Britney and Sam’s outings came just hours after it was revealed that Britney’s father, Jamie Spears, who has been in charge of her conservatorship since early 2008, filed documents to end the conservatorship.

As news surfaced that Britney Spears’ father Jamie Spears wants to end his daughter’s conservatorship, the singer is reportedly, ‘ecstatic.’

He even agreed to end the conservatorship without another mental evaluation, which the singer had asked the court for during her June testimony, which she views as a ‘total victory,’ though sources tell TMZ she’s still ‘extremely angry’ with him about the conservatorship. 

The singer also reportedly wants the termination of the conservatorship to be ‘front and center’ at the next court hearing, scheduled for September 29.

Britney has not yet filed the documents required to end the conservatorship, but it is reportedly a two-step process, the first of which is removing Jamie, which Britney wants ‘squarely raised’ during the upcoming hearing. 

Still, sources close to the elder Spears say his filing is part of a strategy to get his estranged daughter back in his life, according to TMZ.

Even as he publicly tries to make amends with the pop superstar, he reportedly expects the judge to rule in favor of keeping the conservatorship. 

Multiple sources claim that Jamie was seriously concerned for Britney’s mental health as recently as August, when the 39-year-old singer’s dogs were taken away by her house staff over fears they were being mistreated.

Sources close to Jamie say that he fears his daughter is getting better, not worse, and he has told people that, ‘She’s never getting out of the conservatorship.’
