Cheryl marked a rare public sighting as she took her new pet dog out for a chilly walk in Buckinghamshire on Tuesday.

The former Girls Aloud star, 37 – who moved from her ex-boyfriend Liam Payne’s Surrey mansion to a village with her son Bear, four, in March 2019 – opted for a casual look as she was joined by her dapple dachshund and a friend  in a park.

Musician Cheryl has maintained a relatively low profile throughout the pandemic, having last been pictured out to meet an amputee Billy Monger in support of his Comic Relief fundraising mission in February.

Cutting a low-key figure, the Fight For This Love hitmaker styled a dark padded coat with a purple baseball cap, which coordinated with her animal leash.

The songstress carried her essentials in a gold-strapped black handbag and wore minimal accessories for her outing.

With her locks worn in a straight fashion, the brunette beauty complemented her stunning features with matte make-up. 

This is the first time the Geordie has been seen with her adorable pooch, and it is unclear when she first purchased the pet.

The mother-of-one is believed to also have a chihuahua called Buster, while her beloved dogs Kiera and Coco passed away in 2013 and 2017 respectively. 

Before her charity work, the TV star was last pictured at a photocall for BBC competition series The Greatest Dancer in March 2020. 

The singer left one of her life-long fans speechless after turning up at her home to meet her newborn baby boy Luca, shared to social media in August.

Cheryl’s luxury £3.7m mansion was paid for in part by her generous ex-partner Liam, 27, according to the title deeds for the property.

It is not known whether the purchase was part of their split arrangement after she moved out of his home. The couple broke up in June 2018 after two years together but happily co-parent their son.

The former X Factor judge and her little one continued to live at the One Direction star’s £5.1m six-bedroom house in Woking, Surrey, for nine months after their split. 

Cheryl then moved, alongside Bear and her mother, to the three-storey property, which boasts four bedrooms with en suites on the first floor and a three on the second floor, as well as a study, morning room, family room and gym. 

The Strip That Down star recently revealed he is ‘closer than ever’ to Cheryl, and praised her for being ‘the best person’ to raise a child with.

He also shared they spend ‘a lot’ of time chatting to each other on FaceTime while they raise Bear together, and their relationship is ‘very relaxed’.

The former boyband member – who is now engaged to model Maya Henry – told Glamour: ‘Cheryl is literally the best person to co-parent with. No stress involved. It’s very, very relaxed, and we spend a lot of time on FaceTime. 

‘And it’s been really lovely, and I’m closer to them than I’ve ever been before, actually, which is really, really nice. But bedtime FaceTime can go really well sometimes. Or I bought him some toys yesterday that I showed them on the FaceTime and it was like I had to go and travel over and hand the toys over the fence!’ 

In the work department, Cheryl is reportedly set to land her own radio show after being ‘inundated with offers’ from several stations. 

The skilled artist already has lots of presenting experience from her work on The X Factor and The Greatest Dancer.

An industry source told The Sun: ‘Cheryl has been inundated with several offers to do a radio show and Global are very eager. 

‘It would be an exciting new step for her in her career… Global are super keen to sign her and know she would add real star quality.’

But another source told the publication that although Cheryl has been approached by several places, if something happens ‘it might not be with them [Global]’.

The next few months seem to be shaping up to be busy ones for Cheryl as earlier this year she was tipped for a return to The X Factor when it returns to screens in 2022.

The performer quit the singing contest in 2016 to focus on her own music career but did make a few guest appearances after stepping down from the panel and also judged on another of Simon Cowell’s shows, The Greatest Dancer.

An insider said she could be set for a TV comeback, telling The Mirror: ‘Cheryl is still very much in the Cowell fold. She trusts him and he enjoys working with her. He brought her back on TV with The Greatest Dancer and could do the same with the new series of X Factor.’ 

In April 2016, Cheryl confirmed she had quit The X Factor in order to focus on her music career, telling MailOnline that her boss Simon supported her completely.

She said: ‘I have had such an amazing experience being a judge on The X Factor. I have learnt so much and enjoyed nurturing talent but I’ve missed making music and am excited to be recording again. 

‘I want to thank everybody I have worked with along the way, especially Simon who I love to bits. I hope the show continues to produce stars and I wish them all the best.’
