‘He couldn’t handle who I was’: Coleen Nolan, 56, reveals her toyboy lover, 47, has dumped her after six months of dating
Coleen Nolan has revealed she was dumped by her toyboy lover after six months of dating.
The TV presenter, 56, admitted her 47-year-old beau went ‘weird on the texting front’ and he ‘couldn’t handle who she was’.
Speaking to OK! Magazine the Loose Women panellist explained that they had only seen each other twice in person due to lockdown.

However she started to have feelings for him after constant contact.
Coleen said: ‘I really started to fall for him and I couldn’t wait to see him.
‘But then as lockdown started lifting, he was meant to pick me up, but the day before he went weird on the texting front.
‘I asked why he wasn’t replying and he told me he really liked me, but couldn’t handle who I was. I was so hurt and angry.’

Although Coleen was hurt by his decision, she admitted she couldn’t ‘say a bad thing about him’.
She added upon reflection ‘he probably was a bit scared that he couldn’t adapt to my lifestyle’.
The Celebrity Big Brother star went public with the romance last year after meeting her new man on a dating app but she decided to keep his identity a secret.
Despite their eight-year age gap Coleen revealed that they had a lot in common.

The pair tried to keep their romance alive over the phone throughout lockdown.
Coleen split from her second husband Ray Fensome in 2017 after 11 years of marriage.
She was previously married to Eastenders star Shane Richie who is the father of her two sons, Jake Roche, 28, and Shane Roche Jr, 32.

To make up for his unreliability, Claire’s online suitor sent her a bottle of her favourite perfume, but was shocked when she noticed a woman’s reflection in the bottle.
Coleen told her Loose Women co-hosts in full: ‘One of my really good friends Claire, she’d been online dating and she was really desperate to meet somebody.
‘And she started talking to this guy, and she showed me his picture and I was like, “Oh my god he’s gorgeous” and he was a teacher and he was 35 and he was just gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous.

‘She was talking to him as well on the phone all day. He was the last person she spoke to at night, first thing in the morning.
‘And then she said I’m meeting him next week. Anyway, the next day he couldn’t come [because] he got held up at school.’
Coleen added: ‘This went on. By the second one, there was another excuse. By the third one, there was another excuse. And eventually I said to her, “Claire I’m not sure. He’s a bit too good to be true and he’s let you down three times now.'”
Desperate to make it up to Claire, her online suitor sent her a sweet gift.
Coleen explained: ‘And he sent her a picture saying, “If I didn’t like you why would I have bought you this?”
‘And he’d bought her a bottle of her favourite perfume. And then she said “look closely at the picture.”
‘And this person had caught their own reflection. It wasn’t even a male. It was a female.’
ITV obscured the catfish’s identity.
Coleen also revealed that her friend was able to track down the man whose photo was being used, telling her fellow panellists that he was completely unaware his identity had been stolen.
‘When Claire got in touch with the actual guy whose picture it was he was like “I don’t know anything about it,'” Coleen said.
