Colin Firth sparks romance rumours with BBC's Joanna Gosling

Colin Firth has sparked romance rumours with BBC news presenter Joanna Gosling.

The 60-year-old was pictured walking in a west London park with Gosling, 49, last week.

In pictures published by the Mail Online, Firth wore a jacket over a fleece, and donned a flat cap, while Gosling bundled up in a coat, gloves, a hat and wellies.

The pair live nearby to each other, with both living in west London with their children.

The pictures come a year after Pride and Prejudice star Firth announced his separation from his wife of 22 years Livia Giuggioli.

The pair, who have two sons, Matteo and Luca, together, said in a statement: ‘Colin and Livia Firth have separated. They maintain a close friendship and remain united in their love for their children.’

The split came a year after it emerged that Italian film producer Giuggioli had a year-long relationship with childhood friend Marco Brancaccia, after she temporarily separated from Firth.

The relationship became public after Guiggioli accused Brancaccia of stalking her when she reunited with her husband.

A statement issued at the time read: ‘A few years ago Colin and Livia privately made the decision to separate. During that time, Livia briefly became involved with former friend Mr Brancaccia.

‘The Firths have since reunited. Subsequently, Mr Brancaccia carried out a frightening campaign of harassment over several months, much of which is documented.’

Journalist Brancaccia denied the claims, telling The Times: ‘We were romantically involved, she wanted to leave Colin for me.’

Firth – who also has a 30-year-old son Will with his ex and Valmont co-star Meg Tilly – is living in their family home in Chiswick with their sons, while his ex-wife is believed to have spent much of her time since the split in Italy.

Meanwhile, Gosling split from her husband of 18 years Sir Craig Oliver in 2014.

Sir Craig is David Cameron’s former director of communications and was leader of the official Remain campaign during the EU referendum, and is believed to have met Gosling at the BBC when he worked as a journalist before moving to No 10.

Sir Craig is reportedly dating Lucy Thomas, deputy director of the Britain Stronger In campaign, and lives in a flat nearby Gosling’s home, where she lives with their three daughters.

Gosling is known for presenting BBC News, and regularly covers for I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! campmate Victoria Derbyshire on her BBC daytime show.
