Coronation Street SPOILER: Peter Barlow reveals he’s DYING of liver failure as he’s rushed to hospital after another relapse amid romance drama

Peter Barlow will be told he’s dying of liver failure on Coronation Street later this month.

The former pub landlord (Chris Gascoyne) suffered a relapse with his alcoholism after his on-off girlfriend Carla Connor (Alison King) cheated on him with his nephew Adam (Sam Robertson).

Despite learning the severity of his condition, the troubled character continues to drink whiskey to cope with the pain of his romance woes, before he is rushed to the hospital.

Peter’s brother Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) is left startled when he finds him covered in blood in the Victoria Gardens. 

Moments later, the Weatherfield native drops to the ground and taken to a medical service by an ambulance. 

Doctors inform the barman that he is suffering from liver failure and reassure that they’ll attempt to stop the bleeding.

In a bid to avoid worry, Peter asks Daniel not to tell anyone about his condition and hospital visit. 

Solicitor Adam discovers his uncle’s issues and leaks the news to Peter’s father Ken (Bill Roache). 

The retired teacher breaks down as his third child accepts that he’s dying following years of addiction troubles.

Days later, Peter surprises Daniel as he discharges himself from hospital after revealing the bad news.

Once he returns to town, the sick character rejects his partner Carla’s declaration of love.
