Cypress Hill has dropped the video of the first single of their upcoming album, Elephants on Acid. The new track, “Band of Gypsies,” is supported by Middle Eastern vocals and instrumentation.
Elephants on Acid, which is the band’s ninth album, is set to release on September 28.
It comes after a long gap of eight years.
“Band of Gypsies” was produced by Cypress Hill co-founder Muggs, and most of its recordings were done in Egypt.
He reportedly hired Egyptian dance music artists Sadat and Alaa Fifty Cent as well as street musicians for recording sessions in the Middle East country.
Cypress Hill will have a busy schedule in the coming months.
The band will perform their 1993 breakout album Black Sunday at Chicago Riot Fest on September 14.
Later, they will embark on a brief tour around Halloween in support of their new album.
