Last week, while on the Ellen DeGeneres Show the talk show host had a bone to pick with the A-lister for not inviting her to her birthday party.
‘You were invited,’ Dakota said with a smile.
‘Last time I was on the show last year, you gave me a bunch of sh*t about not inviting you, but I didn’t even know you wanted to be invited. I didn’t even know you liked me!’
On Ellen: Last week, Dakota appeared on Ellen and conversations got a bit awkward when birthday parties got brought up
After going back and forth for a bit, Dakota called in help from Ellen’s executive producer Jonathan Norma, who also agreed that she was invited.
‘I was invited? Why didn’t I go?’ Ellen joked. ‘Oh yeah, I had a thing.’
The ‘thing’ Ellen is referring to was an NFL game where she posted up in a suite right next to George W. Bush.

‘People were upset,’ she admitted about attending the game with her conservative friend.
‘They thought, ‘Why is a gay Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative Republican president?’ Didn’t even notice I’m holding the brand new iPhone 11.’
‘I’m friends with George Bush,’ the host continued while on her show. ‘In fact, I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think that we’ve forgotten that that’s ok that we’re all different…When I say, ‘Be kind to one another,’ I don’t mean only the people that think the same way that you do. I mean be kind to everyone.’
