Dan Osborne 'will NOT return to TOWIE for 10th anniversary special'

Dan Osborne ‘will NOT return to TOWIE for 10th anniversary special as he’s snubbed by TV bosses’

Dan Osborne will reportedly not return to The Only Way Is Essex for the show’s anniversary special series.

The reality star, 29, was axed from the ITVBe series in April 2015 after a two-year stint as recordings of his expletive-laden rants at his ex-girlfriend Megan Tomlin emerged.

Father-of-three Dan, who is married to actress Jacqueline Jossa, is said to have expressed interest in making a comeback, but is believed to have been snubbed by bosses as they feared he’s ‘too much of a risk to bring back’.

According to The Mirror, a source said: ‘Dan would have loved to have gone back on the show to redeem himself and end his time on TOWIE on a positive note but unfortunately bosses didn’t want him bringing any negative coverage to the show.

‘He was one of the show’s all time favourite hunks and was extremely popular with fans.

‘But his sacking was taken extremely seriously at the time and even though he has turned his life around he is constantly hitting the headlines for cheating on Jacqueline and TOWIE bosses just don’t want any negative coverage overshadowing what is a celebration of all the show has achieved in the last ten years.’

In July, Dan admitted he cheated on former EastEnders star Jacqueline, 27, who he married in 2017.

A TOWIE representative declined to comment when approached by MailOnline. Dan’s representatives have also been contacted.

The TV star was arrested and released by Essex police without charge following the release of the first audio tape at his former partner Megan in March. A second tape was released shortly afterwards.

Both tapes appear to show the influencer being angry with the mother of his eldest child Teddy over romantic relationships she may have in the future, even though they split up in spring 2013.

On his departure, a spokesperson told MailOnline at the time: ‘Dan was suspended during the last series of TOWIE and Lime Pictures and ITV have since decided he will not be returning to the show.
