It was the end of the road for Sally Dynevor on Sunday night’s Dancing On Ice as the Coronation Street star became the sixth celebrity eliminated from the competition.

The actress, 58, and her skating partner Matt Evers landed in the bottom two opposite BMX racer Kye Whyte and his partner Tippy Packard.

All four judges chose to save Kye and Tippy, however Sally remained upbeat following her elimination.

She said: ‘I have had the time of my life. I’ve loved doing this show, it’s been brilliant. Matt, honestly I couldn’t have got through this with you, you’ve been such a strength to me. I’m going to miss you so much. We’ll stay friends.’

Head judge Christopher Dean said to Sally: ‘You’ve been such a wonderful celebrity to work with and we’ve all enjoyed having you on the ice.’

Sally performed in the skate-off first and, even before Kye took to the ice, told hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby: ‘The competition is so good but I think it’s time for me to go.’

Elsewhere during the show, The Vamps’ Connor Ball took a tumble that left him bleeding.

It was Props Week for the remaining celebrities with Connor, 25, and his skating partner Alexandra Schaumann performing with a mop. 

The musician took a tumble when trying to get his leg over the mop which also sent Alexandra stumbling.

The pair still received a high score of 34/40 and were praised by the judges for their performance. 

Co-host Phillip Schofield asked him: ‘We’re gutted for you. Are you OK?’

Connor replied: ‘I don’t want to look at what’s going on under here.’

Alexandra said: ‘It’s bleeding,’ to which Connor added: ‘The blade went into my leg.’

Connor was asked if he wanted to step off stage to receive medical attention but he stayed for the judges comments.

Ashley Banjo said: ‘Anyone who wonders if Dancing On Ice is dangerous, there you go. It was such a good performance. 

‘This score would have been so much higher but you couldn’t quite hold on to it. Well done.’

Kicking things off this week was Regan Gascoigne and his skating partner Karina Manta who performed with a baseball bat as their prop.

Connor said: ‘I don’t want to look at what’s going on under here.’ Alexandra added: ‘It’s bleeding’

Their performance impressed the judges and the pair received a score of 36/40 with Christopher Dean saying: ‘Your skating is so solid, you really used the bat well. I would have had more fun with it but I think it was a home run.’

Next up was paralympic athlete Stef Reid and Andy Buchanan who performed the first headbanger of the series to universal praise from the judges.

The pair received a score of 36/40, getting all nines from the panel after Stef said she was desperate to beat her previous highest score of 8.5.

Oti Mabuse said: ‘I’m so proud of you. Every week you come out here and get better. It was flirty, it was sassy, it was perfect.’

Sally took to the ice next with Matt and she was joined by her Coronation Street co-star Antony Cotton for a cameo appearance.

Using a chair as their prop, Sally and Antony played two pals getting their hair done, with Matt as Sally’s hairdresser.

Sally said: ‘Antony, have you seen my new hairdresser he’s so hot.’

Antony replied: ‘Who him? He’s got a bigger handbag than me, I think you’re skating up the wrong tree Sally.’

‘We’ll see about that,’ Sally replied.

Cameo: Antony appeared on stage again after Sally’s performance carrying a trolley of props

Impressive: Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Henretty turned out another stellar performance that effortlessly incorporated their silk prop

The pair received a score of 25.5/40, with the judges criticising how much time Sally spent in the chair instead of skating.

Jayne Torvill said: ‘It was a great performance, Sally. Because of the chair, there was very little skating in between. With the chair, you could have been a bit more creative.’

Pussycat Dolls star Kimberly Wyatt and Mark Henretty turned out another stellar performance that effortlessly incorporated their silk prop.

The pair received a score of 38.5/40, including their first 10 from Christopher Dean who said: ‘It was so beautiful. It’s a very difficult prop to make it work and yet, it seemed a part of you. It was wonderful.’

Asked how she received getting the score, Kimberly said: ‘It feels beautiful. It’s such a special piece and I feel so privileged to have brought it to life on the ice with Mark. Suzy [the piece of silk] is a doozy, let me tell you.’

BMX racer Kye Whyte and his partner Tippy Packard took to the ice along with their desk prop and impressed the panel, scoring 34.5/40.

Judge Ashley Banjo said: ‘It was max energy and it works for you two. Whatever you’re doing, keep doing it.’

After Connor, former Strictly Come Dancing star Brendan Cole and Vanessa Bauer  were the last couple on the ice and received a perfect score of 40/40.

The pair danced with an umbrella and were inundated with praise from the judges with Jayne saying: ‘The umbrellas became part of it, we didn’t notice them, you used them so beautifully. Thoroughly deserved.’

Meanwhile, host Holly Willoughby cut a glamorous figure as she donned a figure-hugging pink long-sleeved gown for the show.

The garment featured a plunging sweetheart neckline while Holly added to her outfit with a pair of diamond earrings.

Styling her blonde locks into an updo, the TV star also gave fans a close-up shot of her makeup for the evening which featured a dark pink lip.

Alongside the snaps, she wrote: ‘It’s props week tonight on @dancingonice… always a tricky one for our skaters.

‘Also our very own @otimabuse dances for us and from watching rehearsals you are in for something special!’

Meanwhile, it has been reported that Dancing On Ice bosses have signed up Oti Mabuse as a judge for a second series after she’s proved a success so far this year.

She joined the DOI panel alongside Ashley Banjo, 33, Jayne Torvill, 64, and Christopher Dean, 63, for the current series and she is said to have impressed with her ‘good vibes’ and ‘infectious’ nature.

A source told The Sun: ‘Oti has been asked to return for next year. She has been a huge hit.’

They continued: ‘Oti is already very much part of the Dancing On Ice family – she fits in so well. She is full of good vibes and just makes everyone laugh. She is so infectious. She’s here to stay hopefully!’

The news comes after Oti quit the BBC One series Strictly Come Dancing to become the show’s first millionaire professional dancer.

New role: It has been reported that Dancing On Ice bosses have signed up Oti as a judge for a second series after she’s proved a success so far this year

The two-time winner will now be able to maximise her earning potential after relinquishing her BBC contract, allowing her to take up lucrative deals with fashion and beauty brands.

MailOnline revealed big name companies have already approached Oti’s management following her announcement earlier this week that she would be leaving the show after seven years.

MailOnline contacted ITV and a representative for Oti for comment.
