PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Dancing On Ice star Caprice Bourret heads to the rink with Swiss skater Oscar Peter… after ‘parting ways’ with Hamish Gaman

  • The American model, 48, failed to appear in the show’s opening number on Sunday night, sparking speculation she had pulled out of the competition
  • Host Holly Willoughby then revealed that Caprice had ‘parted ways’ with her partner, adding that Hamish still ‘very much part of our professional team’
  • On Monday morning, the star was spotted for the first time following her mysterious absence, stepping out in London with husband Ty Comfort
  • An ITV spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline: ‘We’re pleased to say that Caprice is back on the ice today in training and very much working towards returning to the show on Sunday night’

Dancing On Ice star Caprice Bourret was spotted with a new skating professional on Monday afternoon, as she headed to the rink to continue her training for the ITV show.

Caprice, 48, was joined by Swiss skater Oscar Peter as they wrapped up against the January chill, cutting a much cheerier figure than earlier in the day, when she was seen looking sombre.

The three times Swiss national champion and former European and world figure skating competitor now works as a coach and choreographer to aspiring skaters – and is rumoured to be Caprice’s new partner following the abrupt departure of Hamish Gaman.

She showcased a typically-flawless porcelain complexion with a hint of blusher at her cheeks.

Meanwhile Oscar wore a grey tracksuit with a black bomber jacket over the top as they chatted while making their way towards their car.

When spotted on Monday morning, Caprice was accompanied by her devoted husband Ty Comfort, whom she admitted was ‘a little bit dubious’ about her skating with a male partner.

She told OK! magazine ahead of the competition: ‘When I first told him that I wanted to do this show, he was a little bit dubious about it, I’m not going to lie.

‘I mean, there are these hot professional skaters who you are literally spending more time with you than your own spouse, so that was a conversation we had to have. And I understand the worry on Ty’s part because this experience is unbelievably intimate.’

The announcement that Caprice and Hamish had parted ways sparked a hysterical reaction from viewers who demanded to know the truth behind Caprice’s absence, kicking off the show in dramatic fashion as the other ten couples took to the ice to perform to some of the world’s most iconic musical hits.
