David Guetta has reportedly split from his girlfriend Jessica Ledon after seven years together.

The 54-year-old DJ and the 30-year-old actress are said to have called time on their romance as their busy schedules and travel commitments meant their lifestyles were no longer ‘compatible.’

The couple began dating in 2015, and last year, it was reported that David had given the brunette beauty a promise ring in lieu of an engagement ring, as he ‘no longer believes in marriage’.

A source told The Sun that David residing in Ibiza for the summer for his residency while Jess lived in the States put pressure on their relationship.

They explained: ‘David had grown apart from Jess and their lifestyles just weren’t compatible anymore.

‘They have so much history together that all of us around them thought they were made for each other but it hasn’t worked out that way.’

However there remains some hope that David and Jessica could rekindle their romance one day.

The insider explained: ‘They haven’t completely cut contact so some of us are hoping they will patch things up’, adding, ”but he isn’t letting himself get hung up about things.’

Love Couldn’t Take Over: The DJ and the actress are said to have called time on their romance as their schedules and travel commitments meant their lifestyles were no longer ‘compatible’ (seen in their last picture together in April 2022)

The couple have not been pictured together since they attended the Grammy Awards in April.

Jessica hinted at their split in a social media post in August that saw her enjoy a cocktail on a night out with friends.

The actress wrote on Instagram: ‘Entering a new era and it’s unapologetic and full of conviction.’

Say My Name hitmaker David, who split from his wife Cathy in 2014 after 22 years of marriage, presented a promise ring to Jessica in 2017 to signify his ‘love and commitment’.

Sparks first flew between the pair when they started dating in 2015 with rumours of an engagement sparked after the dazzling diamond sparkler was spotted on her ring finger.

David and his ex Cathy had been married from 1992 until they decided to part ways in 2014; Cathy had been an important business collaborated throughout the DJ’s career.

The pair parted amicably and raise their son Elvis, 18, and their daughter Angie, 14, together.

David has sold over ten million albums during his career, and he previously admitted that he took a ‘huge risk’ by becoming a DJ.

He explained: ‘I didn’t grow up with money, and my entire life I was always scared to be poor.

‘Again, you have to understand that when I was making the choice to become a DJ – it was a huge risk. You can’t compare it with now where there’s risk but there’s also a chance to become rich.

‘At that time, there was no such thing as getting rich from being a DJ. So, when I started making money, my obsession was to have a house in case something happened. If music didn’t work, I would have a place to sleep.’

David’s accolades include two Grammy Awards, an American Music Award and a Billboard Music Award, and last year he sold his songs to Warner Music for a nine-figure sum.

The French DJ made roughly $100m (£72m) in the deal, which also covers his future recordings.

Yet his career hasn’t been without controversy.

In 2020, the multi-millionaire was branded ‘tone-deaf’ after he paid tribute to George Floyd – an African-American man who was murdered by a police officer – by remixing Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream speech.

David was performing in a benefit show for COVID-19-related causes when he gave a ‘shout out’ to George’s family before remixing the speech into a bass-heavy track.
