DC fans call for Elliot Page to replace Ezra Miller as The Flash

‘He’d be perfect’: Fans call for Elliot Page to be cast as The Flash amid claims Ezra Miller will be dropped from the role for future DC projects after grooming allegations

It has been reported that Ezra Miller has been dropped from further DC projects, though the studio is said to be planning to release The Flash with them as the lead.

But fans have been calling for Ezra, 29, to be recast in the solo The Flash movie and other future projects, suggesting Elliot Page would be a ‘perfect’ fit for the role.

Ezra, who identifies as nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns, was hit with a restraining order over claims they rubbed up against a nonbinary 12-year-old and threatened the child’s mom with a gun after accusing her of cultural appropriation.

New face: DC fans have been calling for Ezra to be recast in the solo The Flash movie, set to be released in 2023, suggesting Elliot Page would be a ‘perfect’ fit for the role

Although it is unclear if The Flash will be recast for future projects, fans have taken to Twitter to throw The Umbrella Academy’s Elliot, 35, name into the ring for the role.

One person said: ‘Day one of begging @DCComics to replace ezra milker with elliot page in the flash.’

Another wrote: ‘He is the new young actor named Elliot Page and I hope he becomes the new Flash in the new DCEU.’

A third tweeted: ‘Wheremst do I submit my hot take that Elliot Page should replace Ezra Miller as The Flash?’

And a fourth commented: ‘Just want to take this moment to say Elliot Page would make a great Barry Allen, in case there’s ever a need to, you know, cast a new Flash, for whatever reason.’

While a fifth penned: ‘Elliot Page should replace Ezra Miller as Barry Allen/The Flash.’

A sixth said: ‘Elliot Page would f**king rock as The Flash,’ while another said: ‘He’d be perfect.’

Elliot stars as Victor Hargreeves in The Umbrella Academy, the third series of which was released on Netflix at the end of June.

Last month, Deadline reported that Ezra had been dropped from further DC projects, though the studio is so far planning to release The Flash in 2023 with them in the lead role.

Calls: Although it is unclear if The Flash will be recast for future projects, fans have taken to Twitter to throw The Umbrella Academy’s Elliot, 35, name into the ring for the role

They likely won’t be in any future DC superhero films after The Flash is released, though it’s unclear if the studio will try to steer clear of the character or recast it.

The actor was being set up to help lead the DCEU after Ben Affleck stepped down from the role of Batman and the second Wonder Woman film underperformed and got poor reviews compared to earlier entries.

Robert Pattinson scored a hit with The Batman, but that film isn’t set in the main DCEU, and he’s unlikely to make an appearance.

The Flash is going to feature both Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck returning as different versions of Batman, so Warner Bros. is likely loathe to scrap the film due to their high-profile participation.

According to Deadline: ‘Sources said even if no more allegations surface, the studio won’t likely keep Miller in the Flash role in future DC films.

‘That would mean replacing them in the future, but there is still a $200million investment on the line with the first film and Warner Bros execs have to be cringing at each new press report.’

A source added that the situation was dire for the film studio, which has hundreds of millions of dollars riding on The Flash.

‘There is no winning in this for Warner Bros,’ they said. ‘This is an inherited problem for [President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery David] Zaslav.

‘The hope is that the scandal will remain at a low level before the movie is released, and hope for the best to turn out.’

Last month, a restraining order was taken out by a Massachusetts mother, who told a court the actor rubbed up against her non-binary 12-year-old child and, arriving at their home in a bulletproof vest, threatened her with a gun, after accusing her of cultural appropriation.

Ezra offered to buy horses for the child, so the youngster could visit the Vermont farm – an offer which troubled the child’s relatives.

They are said to have turned up to see the child and their mom in a bulletproof vest, and berated the mom for using the word ‘tribe’ to describe her friendship group, claiming it was an example of cultural appropriation.

The actor also took exception to them playing the board game Parcheesi and said it was steeped in Rastafarian culture.

Grilled by a Rastafarian woman present for further information, Ezra is said to have opened up a piece of clothing to reveal a weapon before issuing a threat.

The actor is further said to have pressed up against the non-binary child and even offered to buy horses so the youngster could visit Ezra’s ranch in Vermont, spooking the child’s relatives.

Allegations: Ezra, 29, was hit with a restraining order over claims they rubbed up against a nonbinary 12-year-old and threatened the child’s mom with a gun

Throughout the encounter, Ezra is said to have had dilated pupils, leading to suspicions that the performer was under the influence of booze or drugs.

The performer has deactivated their Instagram account after a series of posts that included an image that read ‘you cannot touch me I am in another universe’ among several confusing posts.

Ezra is also accused of abducting and seducing an 18-year-old activist from the Standing Rock Sioux tribe, whose anguished parents have filed legal papers seeking a protection order for their daughter against Ezra.

The parents claim in a lawsuit lawsuit that the actor plied their underage daughter, Tokata Iron Eyes, with drugs including LSD.

They alleged that Ezra disrupted her Massachusetts private schooling to such an extent that she dropped out from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in December.

Jobs: Ezra likely won’t be in any future DC superhero films after The Flash is released, though it’s unclear if the studio will try to steer clear of the character or recast it

When they flew to Ezra’s home in Stamford, Vermont, in January to retrieve Tokata, they allegedly found bruises on her body and she no longer had a driver license, car keys or a bank card.

And when the teenager was returned to her parents’ home, she fled again to New York to reunite with Ezra and they have since allegedly been traveling together to Vermont, Hawaii and Los Angeles.

While in Hawaii, Ezra was arrested after attacking a group of people in a karaoke bar.

A married couple took out a restraining order against them, after Ezra burst into their bedroom and threatened to kill them, then left stealing her passport and his wallet.

Ezra’s behavior sparked a crisis meeting with Warner Bros executives, who decided to postpone the release of The Flash until 2023.

In April, Ezra met the mother of the children, in the town of Hilo, on Big Island.

Since the spring, she has been living with Ezra, while they and their friend Whitney Suters work on their ‘Rebel Alliance Cannabis’ company, Rolling Stone reported.

Suters posted multiple photos on social media, showing marijuana cultivation far in excess of the two mature plants or four immature plants that private citizens can legally own in Vermont.

Suters reportedly said there were at least 28 different strains growing for a fall 2021 harvest.

The father told the magazine that, concerned about the guns and drug use, he asked Vermont child services to intervene.

They visited the property on May 16, and in a text to the father – seen by Rolling Stone – said the children ‘looked good’.

The social worker said they had ‘more work to do,’ but it was unclear whether there were follow up visits, the father said.

Ezra’s representatives did not responded to DailyMail.com’s request for comment at the time.
