While, Jess' husband Dom shared a photo of him carrying their baby in a carseat and wrote: “Baby we did it,“ with a red heart emoji.
The couple’s Love Island friends from the same series flooded the comments section of both the couple’s posts to congratulate them on the happy news.
Marcel Somerville wrote: “Congratulations,” with a clapping hand and heart emoji.
While Camilla Thurlow, who is still dating Jamie Jewitt from Love Island 2017, wrote: “Congratulations,” with two kissing emojis.
Shortly after announcing the arrival of their first born, the couple hit the gym to spend some quality time together.
But, Jess was hit with criticism about working out after giving birth.
Jess Shears and Dom Lever
Days after receiving harsh comments about her decision Jess took to her Instagram stories to defend her decision to workout with her husband.
“Right, I feel the need to clear this up, not that it’s anyone else's business, nor do I particularly care what anyone else thinks…,” Jess began.
“However, if I see fit, and choose to go to the gym, can I just say for half an hour, with my husband, as a bit of me-time to be honest, not lifting heavy weights, not really even sweating, but just to get out of the house and not be a milking machine for one minute and enjoy something that me and Dom have done every day throughout my pregnancy, then that is fine. “
She continued: “I’m not saying that anyone else should feel pressured to get back in the gym after having a baby, I know I certainly don’t. But I know I enjoyed getting out of the house and having some time with my husband, just the two of us. Getting my blood pumping and just feeling like normal again. So, yeah.”
