Drake denies internet rumors that he was ARRESTED in Stockholm

Drake denies internet rumors he was ARRESTED at Stockholm nightclub during visit to Sweden

Drake’s team have denied a swirl of internet speculation that he was arrested at a Stockholm nightclub this week.

The 35-year-old music star has indeed been visiting Sweden, though it remains unconfirmed whether he is there for work.

Rumors flew Thursday night that he was taken into police custody, but his team informed The Hollywood Reporter that he was not arrested and was in his hotel.

Nope: Drake’s team have denied a swirl of internet speculation that he was arrested at a Stockholm nightclub this week; he is pictured leaving this year’s Super Bowl

Drake landed in Sweden on Wednesday in his baby blue personal Air Drake jet and is said to have dined at the local Italian-American restaurant Ciccio’s.

While in town, he posed on Instagram with the local ‘it girls’ Elizabeth and Victoria Lejonhjärta, twin models who have previously appeared in two of his music videos.

He allegedly attended a party in his honor at the Stockholm nightclub Berns in the city center Thursday night, according to the Swedish newspaper Expressen.

The private event reportedly had a special guest list – which a source said was skewed to female attendees.

Police are said to have arrived at Berns that night, spoken to partygoers and left after 20 minutes, possibly putting an end to the fete, Expressen reports.

A source told the newspaper that such police encounters can occur when people smoke hookah on public premises.

Sweden banned hookah in bars and restaurants in 2005, and in 2019 expanded the prohibition to even the establishments’ outdoor seating areas.

Police spokesman Ola Österling confirmed to Expressen that law enforcement visited Berns that night, but refused to elaborate on the subject.

Österling also noted that Berns was one of several establishments the police visited in Stockholm that evening.
