EMILY PRESCOTT: Camberwell calls for Boris and Carrie Johnson as they move out of Downing Street

Boris and Carrie Johnson raked in thousands renting out their four-bedroom house in South London while they lived in Downing Street. 

Now, at short notice, the pair are without a place in London, and it seems their attention has turned to the Camberwell property.

The house has recently been made vacant, and last week gardeners were in, clearing up the back garden and planting a row of trees in the front, perhaps intended to give a measure of privacy.

The couple appear to have settled on returning to their four-bedroom house in Camberwell, which is vacant after previously being rented out

A source has spotted Carrie in the area. 

She hasn’t had a chance to live in the house she bought with her husband in July 2019, the month they moved into Downing Street.

Sir Richard Branson can afford to eat anything for lunch but last week was filmed dining out on fake plastic chips with actress Drew Barrymore – as they attempted to draw attention to microplastics in the food chain.

It may not have been a BAFTA-winning performance but at least he was focusing on a cause that isn’t himself! 

Last week we featured a picture of the tycoon enjoying his Richard Branson-themed (of course) 72nd birthday party aboard a Virgin Voyages ship with musician son Sam and actress daughter-in-law Isabella Calthorpe (whom we mistakenly identified as Richard’s daughter Holly). 

Holly was at the event and revealed it involved ‘two all-nighters’. Impressive!

New bond for Pierce 

Pierce Brosnan has become a great-grandfather, I can reveal. 

The 69-year-old former James Bond is no doubt looking forward to bonding with the newest member of his family, Penelope Charlotte Hunter.

Before his first wife Cassandra Harris died aged 43 of ovarian cancer in 1991, Pierce adopted her children Charlotte and Christopher. 

Former James Bond, Pierce Brosnan, has recently become a great-grandfather at the age of 69

Charlotte died from ovarian cancer too in 2013, but her daughter Bella, 23, gave birth in March.

Bella described motherhood so far as the ‘happiest, hardest and fastest’ time of her life. Congrats to all!
