England fan rushed to hospital in Seville after ‘downing bottle of sambuca’

An England fan was rushed to hospital in Seville on Sunday after downing a bottle of sambuca as pre-match festivities escalated.

The Three Lions supporter was taken away on a stretcher after consuming the the large quantity of alcohol in the south of Spain.

Video footage shows the supporter being rushed to hospital after being placed on the stretcher.

A friend of the fan insisted his condition was improving later on in the day and that he could be allowed to leave the hospital soon.

Though the friend was clearly irritated at having to leave the party.

"So annoying, have to deal with it," he admitted. "[He is] just sleeping at the moment. May be able to leave soon if allowed. Just annoying."

He later claimed his friend’s ill-advised antics had ‘ruined his day.’
